NOTE: It’s important that the Exposure Mode setting is updated from the FJ-X3 Wireless Transmitter or
FJ80 [HOST], otherwise, the flash unit(s) will re-enter SLP (sleep) when the next transmission signal is
received from an FJ-X3 transmitter.
Channel Controls
The FJ-X3 offers 32 channels [AU, 01-31] for reliable communication between your FJ-X3 Wireless Trigger
and FJ Wireless lights. This provides multiple connectivity options for users without concern of
interference from additional FJ Wireless lights being used by other photographers in the same area.
Change Channels [CH]
1. Quick press the
CH | LOCK Button
once to highlight the Channel Icon green.
2. Press the up or down arrows on the
Control Pad
to select the desired channel option [AU, 01-31].
3. Once the channel has been selected, quick press the center button on the
Control Pad
and/or
make no further presses to confirm the selected channel. The Channel Icon will turn white after 3
seconds.

:
Enable [AU] (Automatic Channel Selection) by selecting [AU] from the available channels on the
FJ-X3 and FJ Wireless lights. While the middle
Selectable Menu Option
displays [CH], long-press

Group Selection Button
on the FJ-X3 to engage communication between the FJ-X3 & FJ Wireless lights.
NOTE: Only one FJ-X3 in AU mode can operate an FJ Wireless Flash System.
FJ-X3: Syncing
Sync Functions

Front Curtain Sync [icon] – Standard flash operation with shutter speed limitations native to the
camera model. See Sync (Normal) section.

High-Speed Sync (HSS) [icon] – Flash operation allowing higher shutter speed synchronization up
to 1/8000s. See Sync (HSS) section
.

Rear Curtain Sync [icon] – Flash operation for achieving trailing effects and shutter drag.
Changing the Sync Function
Press the
SYNC| MENU
repeatedly to select the desired Sync Mode.
