Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display returns
to normal to exit the setup mode.
If you press the INPUT button or leave the unit idle for 10 seconds,
the set-up mode will be cancelled.
< Settings are stored even when power is turned off and the unit is
unplugged. If left unplugged for an extended period, the settings
may be lost.
Available menu items and settings
CONV>*** (Up convert)
You can convert the sampling frequency of PCM signal, such as
a CD, to 2x or 4x. It is also possible to convert the PCM signal to
a DSD signal.
A different setting can be made for each input.
DF>**** (Digital filter)
Changes the digital filter characteristics during PCM signal
playback.
A different setting can be made for each input.
MCK>*** (Master clock)
Selects word sync or master clock modes.
A different setting can be made for each input.
W-OUT>*** (Word sync output frequency)
Selects the word sync output frequency.
A different setting can be made for each input.
RC>*** (Remote control)
If used with an optional Esoteric amplifier, you can set the D-07
not to respond to the Esoteric remote control.
DISP>*** (Display)
Selects whether the display normally displays the volume level
selected or the sampling frequency.
OUT>***** (Analog output)
Sets the output terminal for analog audio output.
DIMMER>*** (Display dimming)
The display on the main unit can be dimmed to suit the
environment in which you listen to music.
CONV (Up convert)
You can convert the sampling frequency of PCM signals, such as a
CD, to 2x or 4x. It is also possible to convert the PCM signal to a DSD
signal.
The factory setting is “OFF”.
A different setting can be made for each input.
OFF
This setting provides no up conversion.
2Fs, 4Fs
This setting provides a two or four times up conversion from the
input of PCM signals.
DSD
This setting converts CD or PCM signals to the DSD signal mode (1
bit, 64 fs). DSD is the native decoding mode for SACD.
< The up convert multiplication factor differs depending on the
sampling frequency of the PCM signal input, as follows:
When the input frequency is 88.2kHz or 96kHz
CONV>OFF
The D-07 does not up convert.
CONV>2Fs
The D-07 does not up convert.
CONV>4Fs
The D-07 up converts to 176.4kHz or 192kHz.
CONV>DSD The signal is converted to DSD.
When the input frequency is 176.4kHz or 192kHz
CONV>OFF
The D-07 does not up convert.
CONV>2Fs
The D-07 does not up convert.
CONV>4Fs
The D-07 does not up convert.
CONV>DSD The signal is converted to DSD.
DF (Digital filter)
Changes the digital filter. This setting is not required if a CD or digital
input signal is converted to DSD or if playback is performed without
converting the DSD signal of Super Audio CDs. This filter effects PCM
audio playback only.
FIR
A 32-bit FIR digital filter (Finite impulse response), oversamples the
input signal to 8 times the frequency of the original signal. This
provides a fuller, richer and deeper sound.
S_DLY (Apodizing filter type)
A 32-bit short delay filter oversamples the input signal to 8 times
the frequency of the original signal. This provides an impulse
response without pre-echo, natural attack and reverberation. This
setting provides tonal quality that is closer to the original recorded
material and without enhancement.
