INSTALLATION Of THE PRODUCT IN THE BUILT-IN VERSION.
Before drilling the hole in the underneath of the kitchen wall unit check that there are no par-
ticular parts of the structure of the kitchen wall unit or other components that could create
problems for the correct installation inside the kitchen wall unit in correspondence to the zone
where the appliance will be housed.
Check that the dimensions of the UPRIGHT and the ones of the CABINET are compatible, in
order to make installation possible.
Drill an 860mm x 185mm rectangular hole at the rear of the kitchen wall unit base. The drill-
ing must be carried out 10 mm from the rear internal wall of the kitchen wall unit (refer to
Fig. 13).
Before fitting the product into the furniture unit, remove the extraction unit so that it can be
replaced later. Proceed as follows. If the Upright model is equipped with internal motor, you
need to remove the suctioning unit before inserting the appliance into the cabinet, and then
restore the unit in its place; the following procedure must be followed. Remove the left cover
fig. 4 A , disconnect the suctioning unit electric connector, then remove the fixing screws and
pull it out as per (fig.12) .
Fix the brackets (Fig. 13A) to the side walls inside the kitchen wall unit utilizing the drilling
template positioned as indicated in Fig. 13.
The supplied vertical brackets indicated in Fig. 14 must be cut before installing them on the
basis of the height of the kitchen wall unit and utilizing the following procedure:
• Check the height of the kitchen wall unit by measuring it from the external lower edge
to the internal upper edge (Fig. 14) then cut the vertical brackets as indicated in Fig. 14.
• The length of the vertical staff is calculated by the dimension detected in the kitchen wall
unit, less 400 mm.
• Fix the vertical brackets (Fig. 15) to the upper surface of the kitchen wall unit and the
previously installed bracket.
• Insert the product from the lower part of the furniture unit into the opening realised and
attach the two hinges to the brackets previously fitted in the furniture unit, as indicated
in Fig. 16A.
• Adjust the upper adjustment screw of the hinge (Fig. 16B) to lift and block the product
permanently inside the furniture unit.
• Check that the lower edge adheres perfectly to the kitchen wall unit.
• If necessary, the appliance can be moved forwards or backwards in the kitchen wall unit
by utilising the adjustment screw (Fig. 16C).
• Replace the extraction unit and reconnect it to the electrical connection.
• Replace the left cover removed in Fig. 4.
Carry out the electric connection
Top air out-let (suctioning version): Remove the upper extraction outlet enclosure cap, in-
stall the rectangular flange and any union for the circular tube (Fig. 6) and then connect the air
outlet tube to the flange of the appliance.
Top air out-let (filtering version): Remove the upper extraction outlet enclosure cap, install
the rectangular flange and any union for the circular tube and then connect the air outlet
flange of the appliance to the outside of the kitchen wall unit.
Activated charcoal filters are also needed, along with metal grease filters , in the filtering ver-
sion; see the ‘Maintenance’ chapter.
