3. Maintenance
x Coupling
x To reduce the wear and tear on the trailer coupling, lubricate the
contact surfaces of the towing eye (A) and the locking pin with
multipurpose grease at regular intervals (see Fig. 4).
x Check the trailer coupling for wear.
x Damaged trailer couplings must be replaced.
x The trailer coupling must never be repaired. Damaged parts must
be replaced by original parts.
x Modifications to the trailer coupling are not permitted.
x In general, the boring diameter on the trailer coupling may not
exceed 35 mm.
