Installation of X-Plane 9
The guide will walk you through the installation of the X-Plane 9.xx using the hard drive that you
received from Precision Flight Controls (PFC). The instructions below are only for the X-Plane software
that came with your PFC hardware. If you are not using X-Plane that was provided to you by PFC,
please close this instruction and use the appropriate instructions.
Please do not update your X-Plane using the internet unless otherwise instructed by a PFC
representative to do so. Updating using the internet can cause instability and other problems.
You should have received the following:
1 - X-Plane 9 Hard drive
1.1.1 Pre-installation notes
To be able to install the X-Plane software, you will need to make computer is ON and that the keyboard
and mouse is working properly. If your system is a multi computer setup then you will need to install the
X-Plane software on each computer. You will also need to make sure that you have sufficient hard drive
space to install X-Plane, at least 90 GB.
