4-INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY
EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL AIR INLET
COMBUSTION AIR INLET
The FORMA WOOD closed fireplace is predisposed with a rear hole, for the entry of air necessary for combustion. One can move the
combustion air inlet under the product. The following is required to do so:
• Remove the rear flange (fig.5).
• Remove the cap in the part underneath the closed fireplace (fig.6).
• With the two screws, fix the flange under the closed fireplace (to then make connection with pipes)
• Position the cap removed (from under the closed fireplace) in the lower part.
Connect via ø100 flanges and a hose (fig. 5 o 6) to grilles outside or inside the installation room so that the path is separate from the
natural or forced convection air.
NEVER CLOSE THE COMBUSTION AIR INLET HOLE.
AIR INLET FOR NATURAL VENTILATION
If the closed fireplace is installed in natural ventilation conditions, i.e. without the electric fan, make a 300 cm² net external combustion
air inlet to the back of the unit so that there is always fresh air circulating under the closed fireplace.
It is essential that this arrangement is complied with in full, otherwise the lack of oxygen can affect both combustion and the heat output
of the product.
AIR INLET FOR FORCED VENTILATION
DUCTING FOR COMFORT AIR KIT
If the closed fireplace is installed in forced ventilation conditions, i.e. using a Comfort Air kit, make the air inlets and ducting as follows:
for proper air recirculation within the room, it is advisable to predispose a 150 cm² external air inlet, in order to have clean and fresh air,
and the other one inside the room where the closed fireplace is installed (this must also be 150 cm²).
This enables proper air mixing within the installation room and better cooling of the closed fireplace structure.
Should one not be able to carry out this type of connection, predisposing both air intakes is required, whether they are directed both
outside or inside. Depending on the choice, one will have operating temperatures that are slightly higher or lower than average but that
do not prevent the product from functioning properly.
Please note that:
• All external air inlets must be equipped with a closure shutters controllable from the outside and fitted with insect protection nets.
• The air inlet section must be considered as net, therefore one must consider room for any encumbrances (nets, etc..)
• One must periodically clean the filters or nets to ensure air passage.
• Do not obstruct the air inlets under any circumstances if the closed fireplace or ventilation kit are in operation.
