5. Select a location that is firm, level and
not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.
6. Turn the temperature regulator

to "0".
This switches the appliance off.
7. Plug the mains plug into a suitable mains
socket that corresponds to the technical
data.
8. Turn the temperature regulator

to
MAX
.
The indicator lamp

lights up and the
appliance heats up.
9. Leave the appliance switched on for
around 10 - 15 minutes.
10. Switch the appliance off by turning the
temperature regulator

to "0".
11. Take out the mains plug and allow the
appliance to cool down.
12. Clean the appliance again. Observe the
information in the section entitled
"6. Cleaning" on page 9.
5. Operation
5.1 Preparing the appliance
1. Select a location that is firm, level and
not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.
2. Turn the temperature regulator

to "0".
This switches the appliance off.
3. Grease the raclette pans lightly

on the
inside.
Note:
Use kitchen paper dipped in a
little cooking oil.
4. Lightly grease the top surface of the
stone grill plate

and grill plate
2
.
Note:
Do not use too much oil as this
could catch fire and burn. Spread the oil
carefully using a cooking brush or
kitchen paper.
5. Place the stone grill plate
1
and grill
plate
2
on the appliance.
Note:
The grooves on the stone grill
plate
1
must face up. The grill plate
2
can be used on both sides.
6. Plug the mains plug into a suitable mains
socket that corresponds to the technical
data.
7. Turn the temperature regulator

clockwise to
MAX
.
The indicator lamp

lights up and the
appliance heats up.
8. Allow the appliance heat up for around
10 minutes.
Note:
If you wish to use the stone grill
plate

, it may take longer to heat up.
The appliance is now ready to use.
5.2 Regulating temperature,
switching on and off
The best cooking temperature depends
chiefly on the type of food being cooked.
1. To turn the appliance on, turn the
temperature regulator

one notch
clockwise towards
MAX
.
The indicator lamp

lights up and the
appliance heats up. The indicator lamp

goes off once the set temperature has
been reached.
2. If the temperature is too low and it is
taking too long to cook, turn the
temperature regulator

one notch
towards
MAX
.
