soften the silicon feet. If necessary,
place a non-slip mat under the device.
• Only use the device in conjunction with
the base station supplied.
• None of the parts are suitable for use
in microwave ovens.
• Never put alcohol, sugar or milk into
the glass pot!
• Always allow the glass pot to cool be-
fore filling it with cold water. Large tem-
perature differences create large
stresses in the glass and may cause it to
shatter.
• Place the device on a stable, flat surface.
• Only use the original accessories.
• Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.

4. How to use
DANGER of electric shock!
Only connect the device to an easily
accessible wall socket whose voltage
corresponds to the specifications on
the rating label. The wall socket must
continue to be easily accessible after
the device is plugged in.
• Pull the mains plug15 out from the wall
socket after every use.
• Remove all packaging material.
• Check to ensure that all parts are
present and undamaged.
• Place the device on a stable, flat surface.
1. Ensure that the On / Off switch11 is
set to O.
2. Insert the mains plug15 into a wall sock-
et corresponding to the technical data.
5. Before using for the
first time
1. Carefully rinse out all parts of the boil-
ing system5 and the glass pot8 (see
“Cleaning” on page 37).
2. Remove the boiling system and fill the
glass pot8 with water to the MAX
marking9.
3. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice or lemon
concentrate to the water. If this is not avail-
able, you can add a teaspoon of loose tea
directly into the water.
4. Insert the boiling system5 into the glass
pot8.
5. Close the lid6 and place the glass pot8
on the base14.
6. Use the On / Off switch11 to switch
the device on (I). The control light12
and the On / Off switch will light up.
Wait until the control light goes out.
7. Use the On / Off switch11 to switch the
device off (O) and clean the device (see
“Cleaning” on page 37).
6. Operation
DANGER of injuries through
scalding!
Do not bend over the glass pot8
when you open the lid6 and the
contents are still hot. There is a dan-
ger of being scalded by escaping
steam.
• The glass pot8 and boiling system5
become very hot during operation, you
should therefore protect your hands e.g.
using oven gloves.
• Keep the lid6 of the glass pot8 closed
during the boiling process, as otherwise
the automatic deactivation system will
not work and boiling water will spray
out.
• The glass pot8 must not be filled with
water above the MAX marking9, other-
