(after a maximum of 2 minutes). The
switch 3 is then no longer illuminated.
9. Open the lid 1.
10. Take the jug 2 off the base 4.
11. Pour the hot milk and/or froth into a
suitable drinks container.
12. Clean the appliance carefully after use
(see “6. Cleaning” on page 27).
6. Cleaning
Warning!
To avoid the danger of an
electric shock, injury or damage:
– Remove the plug from the mains
socket before starting to clean
the appliance.
– Allow the appliance to cool
down before cleaning.
– Never immerse the lid 1, jug 2 or
base 4 in water.
Caution!
Never use abrasive, corrosive or
caustic cleaning materials. These could
damage the appliance.
6.1 Cleaning the lid

1. Clean the end of the stirring rod by hand
in the sink.
2. Rinse off with clean water.
3. Clean the rest of the lid 1 with a damp
cloth. You could also use a little washing-
up liquid.
4. Wipe it off with clean water.
5. Do not use the appliance again until it is
fully dry.
6.2 Cleaning the jug

1. Rinse out the inside of the jug 2 with hot
water.
Use a soft washing-up brush or dishcloth
to remove any remaining froth.
Warning!
Cleaning with hot water
only does not guarantee sufficient
hygiene standards. To maintain
hygiene, clean with hot water and
detergent.
2. Rinse off with clean water.
3. Dry the inside of the jug 2 with a soft
cloth.
4. Clean the outside of the jug 2 with a
damp cloth. You could also use a little
washing-up liquid.
5. Wipe it off with clean water.
6. Do not use the appliance again until it is
fully dry.
6.3 Cleaning the base

1. As a precaution, check again that the plug
has been removed from the mains socket.
2. Clean the base 4 with a damp cloth. You
could also use a little washing-up liquid.
3. Wipe it off with clean water.
4. Do not use the appliance again until it is
fully dry.
6.4 Cleaning the attachment

1. Clean the frothing attachment 5 by hand
in the sink.
2. Dry the attachment with a soft cloth.
