4. Unpacking and setting up
1. Remove the individual parts from the
packaging.
2. Check that all the individual parts are
complete (see “2.2 Scope of supply” on
page 23) and there are no signs of
damage.
3. Clean the appliance thoroughly before
using it for the first time (see
“6. Cleaning” on page 27).
4. Place the appliance on a level, dry, non-
slip surface, so that the appliance can
neither topple over nor slide down.
5. Operating
Warning!
Only connect the
appliance to an earthed mains
socket as this provides protection
against electric shock.
1. Insert the mains plug into a suitable,
earthed mains socket (see “8. Technical
data” on page 28).
2. Open the lid 1.
3. If you only wish to heat
the milk, do not use an
attachment. If applicable,
pull the frothing
attachment 5 sideways
away from the stirring rod.
Note:
Pull the attachment off on the side
on which you can see the markings.
4. If you wish to heat and
froth the milk, push the
frothing attachment 5
onto the side of the
stirring rod.
5. Pour in milk.
Note:
Please observe
the markings in the
jug 2. If you pour in
too little (below
MIN
= 90 ml), the
appliance will not
work properly. If you pour in too much,
the milk may froth up over the top.
Milk is heated only (with-
out frothing attachment
5
): 90 ml to 250 ml
Milk is frothed (with
frothing attachment 5):
90 ml to 150 ml
6. Close the lid 1.
7. Place the jug 2 on the base 4.
8. Press the switch 3.
The appliance starts working and heats
and stirs the milk.
The switch 3 is illuminated during this time.
As soon as the milk is hot enough, the
appliance will switch off automatically
