Avoid the danger of
death from electric shock!
J Before use, ensure that the mains voltage
available is the same as the required operating
voltage for the device (230 V~).
J Before connecting the device to the mains you
should always check the device and the mains
lead for any damage. A damaged device rep-
resents the danger of death from electric shock.
J Do not use the device if you find any damage.
J CAUTION! RISk OF INjURY
AND/OR ELECTRIC SHOCk! If
the lamp’s mains lead is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an
authorised service centre or similarly qualified
specialists only.
J Please consult a specialist electrician if you dis-
cover any damage or problems with the device,
or for the performance of repairs to the device.
J Never open any of the electrical equipment or
insert any objects into it. Such interventions rep-
resent the danger of death from electric shock.
J It is essential that the device does not come
into contact with water or other liquids.
J Never touch the mains plug with damp or wet
hands.
J Protect the mains lead against sharp edges,
mechanical stresses and hot surfaces.
J Never use the device in the immediate vicinity
of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool.
J If the lamp is not to be used for an extended
period (e.g. during your holidays), pull the
mains plug out of the mains socket.

J DANGER OF INjURY! Check
any bulb for damage immediately
after unpacking. Do not fit a defective
bulb into the lamp.
J DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure the
lamp has been switched off and al-
lowed to cool before you touch it.
In this way you will avoid the danger of burns.
Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat.
J Replace a defective bulb immediately. Before
replacing the bulb always remove the mains
plug from the mains socket.
J Allow the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes
before replacing a defective bulb.

DANGER OF FIRE! Always ensure
that there is at least 0.3 m clear dis-
tance between the lamp and other
items of furniture or furnishings.
J Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp.
Fire can result from the development of too
much heat.
J Position the lamp so that it is protected from
moisture and dirt.
J Never leave the lamp operating unattended.
J Only use 230 Volt light bulbs with an E 27
base and a maximum output of 20 watts.
J This lamp is only intended for use
indoors.

Assembly
j Release the base screw 11 slightly and insert
the lower articulated arm 7b into the hole in
the base 12 .
j Fasten the lower articulated arm 7b in place
with the base screw 11 .

j Fasten the desk bracket 13 to a desk or a
solid, level working surface (see Fig. A).
j Insert the lower articulated arm 7b into the
desk bracket 13 .
j Fasten the lower articulated arm 7b in place
with the base screw 11 .
