Do not connect the lamp if the lamp, power cable or plug is dam-
aged, or if the lamp has been dropped.
Ensure that the power cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges
or hot objects. Unwind all the power cable completely before use.
Pull the mains adapter / plug out of the socket / 12 V connec-
tion, when you are not using the lamp or before you clean it. Also
do this if signs of a fault develop during use or charging, e.g.
smoke, burning smell etc., or during a storm. Pull directly on the
mains adapter / plug and not on the power cable.
Before use
Charging the batteries
In order to use the lamp without the power cable, the batteries must
first be charged. The charging process takes about 8 to 10 hours.
The batteries are permanently built into the handle.
You can recharge the batteries using a normal household socket
or on your car’s 12 V connection.
Switch off the lamp during the charging process. To do this, press
the ON / OFF button on the LED front light / LED ring 5 and the
LED side light 10 .
Remove the protective rubber pad 9 on the back of the lamp.
Plug the mains adapter plug 12 , or of the car adapter for the
12 V connection 13 , into the connection socket on the back of
the lamp.
Note: The product is fitted with an overcharge protection circuit.
Despite this, you should disconnect the lamp from the power supply
after the charging process is complete.
During charging, the charging light 8 lights up red. When charging
is complete, the charging light lights up green. When the charging
light is green, pull the mains adapter out of the socket. Also dis-
connect it from the lamp, so that the batteries do not discharge.
Note: Reattach the protective rubber pad to the back of the lamp
before using it.
