8.4

Gear selector switch

Two speed ranges can be selected with the gear selector switch (5) :
Gear 1

150 min-1 to 300 min-1,

Gear 2

300 min-1 to 650 min-1

It is possible to change gear when the machine is running. However, this should not be done
when the machine is at full load.

8.5

Constant electronics

The constant electronics keeps the speed virtually constant during idling and under a load.
This guarantees that materials are mixed uniformly.

8.6

Electronic overload protection

An electronic overload device protects the motor against damage when the tool is under an
extreme load. In this case, the motor stops and only starts up again when the feed is reduced
or the load removed (only model POWX087)

8.7

Temperature-dependent overload protection

To prevent the motor from overheating under an extreme continuous load, the safety
electronics switches the motor off when it reaches a critical temperature.
After a cooling-down time of around 3 - 5 min., the machine is ready for operation at full load.
If the tool is warm from operation, the temperature-dependent overload protection will respond
earlier.

9 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Attention !Before performing any work on the equipment, pull the power
plug.

 Liquids must not be allowed to get into the inside of the appliance. Use a soft doth to clean

the casing. Never use gasoline, solvents or cleaning agents that are aggressive on
plastics.

 Wherever possible, always clean the mixing tools immediately after finishing work.
 Clean the air vents on the motor housing from time to time.
 When the carbon brushes have run out ,the tool switches itself off.
 Check the carbon brushes after approx. 100 hours of operation; if necessary replace
 them and clean the motor housing.
 Refill the grease in the gearbox after around 200 hours of operation.

CAUTION! To maintain the protective insulation, a safety inspection must
subsequently be carried out on the machine. For this reason, such work
must only be performed by an electrical workshop.
