7 OPERATION
Do not sand plaster surfaces, (WARNING: In this case your guarantee
becomes void) this may clog the motor (brushes, ball bearings, ..).
7.1
Switching Onoff
To switch the tool on, press the on/off switch (1).
To switch the tool off, release the on/off switch.

Continuous operation / ON/OFF lock button
to switch on :
Hold the on/off switch pressed
Press the lock button
release the on/off switch
to switch off :
press the on/off switch once to release the lockon button

Speed adjusting dial
Your POW X046 is equipped with a variable speed selector (4).
You can turn the speed selector switch from 1 to 6 to set the desired belt speed.
(200 300 m/min)

Mounting a sanding belt (fig. B)
Pull the clamping lever (6) out and turn it as far as it will go.
Take a sanding belt of the required grain size and place it on the rollers. Make sure that
the arrow on the inside of the sanding belt points in the same direction as the arrow on the
machine.
Make sure that the sanding belt is straight and centred on the rollers.
Push the clamping lever back.
Switch the machine on to let the sanding belt run. With the machine switched on, turn the
belt centring knob (5) until the sanding belt keeps running straight.
The sanding belt must be fitted firmly on the sanding pad and should not
come loose.

Collecting the dust
Your POW X046 is supplied with a dust adapter & dust bag.
dust bag :
Fix the supplied connector on the dust expel opening.
fix the dust bag on the adaptor.
Connecting a vacuum cleaner.
For a better dust extraction of the working surface, your sanding machine can be connected to
the ordinary vacuum cleaner for houseuse.
Fix the supplied connector on the dust expel opening. It has a 34,5mm opening to connect a
vacuum cleaner

plug.
