 Remember that the blade will continue to rotate for a few seconds, even after the motor
has been switched off. Never try to stop the blade.
 Make sure at regular intervals that the blade is securely attached, in good condition and
sharp. If the blade strikes an object while scarifying, stop the scarifier and wait until the
blade has come to a standstill.
 Then check the condition of the blade and the blade fixing screw.
 If these h ave been damaged or loose, they must be replaced immediately.
7.3 Replacing the blade
Please contact the customer service center. Use only original spare parts.
8 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention ! Before performing any work on the equipment, pull the power
plug.
 Make sure all fasteners (screws, nuts,etc.) are always fully tightened so that you can work
safety with the scarifier.
 Check the grass box for wear and tear at regular intervals
 Replace any worn or damaged parts.
 Regular care of your scarifier will not only increase its service life but will also facilitate the
meticulous and easy scarifying of your scarifier.
 Clean the scarifier with brushes or cloths. Do not use any solvents or water to remove dirt.
 Always switch off the motor and pull out the power plug before carrying out any
maintenance and cleaning work.
 The part most susceptible to wear and tear in the machine is the blade. Check the
condition of the blade and its fastener at regular intervals. If the blade is worn, it must be
replaced or sharpened.
 If the scarifier vibrates excessively, this means that the blade is either not balanced
correctly r has been bent out of shape by knocks, in which case it must be repaired or
replaced.
