Turning the Camera On and Off
Use the POWER ON/OFF switch to turn the camera on and
off.
ON : Power on
OFF : Power off
IMPORTANT!
• If camera power is turned off by the Auto Power Off
feature, move the POWER ON/OFF switch to OFF
and then back to ON again to restore power.

Auto Power Off
Auto Power Off conserves battery power by automatically
turning off the camera if you do not perform any operation
for a preset amount of time. The amount of time depends
on the mode the camera is in.
• Auto Power Off is automatically disabled under any
one of the following conditions.
— While the camera’s USB port is connected to a
computer or other external device, or while the
camera is being controlled by an external device
— While the AC adaptor is connected to the camera
