Setting the water softener
To avoid scale deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher, the dishes
must be washed with soft water, i.e. water with a low lime content. The
dishwasher therefore has a built-in water softener, in which tap water
with a hardness of 4°d (German degree) and harder is softened with the
aid of special salt.
3
Your local water authority will be able to inform you about the hard-
ness and hardness range of the water in your area.
The water softener can be set manually using the water hardness
switch; it can also be set electronically using the buttons on the control
panel.
