Digital Input 4 – Continuous Camming
The continuous camming mode engages the motor as a slave to the Sigma FSP auxiliary encoder input, which is
the encoder wheel on the Sigma FSP demo unit. Continuous camming allows the cam cycle to run indefinitely.
1. Verify that all digital input switches are off (down)
2. Turn on SI4 to begin the non-continuous camming routine
3. Turn the auxiliary encoder wheel, the cam will engage immediately and continue running as long as the
encoder wheel is turned
4. Turn off SI4 to end the non-continuous camming routine
Digital Input 5 – Non-Continuous Camming
The non-continuous camming mode engages the motor as a slave to the Sigma FSP auxiliary encoder input,
which is the encoder wheel on the Sigma FSP demo unit. Non-continuous camming allows the cam cycle to run
one cycle and stop, even if the auxiliary encoder input continues to increase in value.
1. Verify that all digital input switches are off (down)
2. Turn on SI5 to begin the non-continuous camming routine
3. Turn the auxiliary encoder wheel, the cam will engage immediately and run one cycle until the auxiliary
encoder reaches the maximum master value of the cam cycle
4. Turn off SI5 to end the non-continuous camming routine
