PRE-OPERATION CHECK

Check Rear Suspension

Proper rear suspension adjustment is essential for a safe and comfortable ride. Check the rear shock absorber
movement and preload to ensure that the motorcycle has the correct amount of suspension travel and ground
clearance (see page 94).

Inadequate ground clearance could allow components to come into contact with the ground,
causing loss of control.

WARNING

Check Drive Belt

The drive belt should fit tightly. Check drive belt tension. Refer to page 88-89.

Replace the drive belt if it is cracked or has broken teeth or frayed edges (consult your Victory Service Manual or an
authorized Victory dealer).
