MACHINE FEATURES

Machine description

B$RIST$ series machines are manufactured

for making espresso coffee and hot drinks.

The operating mechanism consists of a

displacement pump inside the machine that

feeds the boiler in which the water is heated.

When the controls are activated, water is sent

in the form of hot water or steam to the external

dispensers, as required.

On models with economiser, the water used

for making drinks is taken as required from the

water mains supply, compressed by the pump,

and heated instantly with steam generated by

the boiler.

The machine comprises a steel frame structure to

which the mechanical and electrical components

are attached. The whole unit is fully covered with

panels made from oven-painted sheet iron and

stainless steel. The coffee-making mechanisms,

knobs, control devices and the coffee-dispensing

groups are on the front of the machine. There is an

area designated for warming cups on the top of

the machine.

4

The power cord must be connected to the pre-

assigned connection in accordance with the

current regulations.

The machine must be connected to a

duly installed earth connection.

$ 5-conductor cable (3 3-phase+neutral+earth)

must be used for the three-phase connection.

$ 3-conductor cable (phase+neutral+earth) must

be used for the single-phase connection.

WATER CONNECTION

First, connect one end of the drainage tube

supplied with the machine to the chamber beneath

!

the machine’s drainage tray.

Fit the other end to the previously installed general

drainage outlet.

Then connect the flexible hose (3/8” H

connection) to the pump and the water supply. If

a water treatment system is installed, connect the

hose to the system’s outlet.

IMPORTANT: Do not supply the

coffee machine with water with a

hardness of under 10

o

f.

8pon establishing the water supply and drainage

connections, open the valve or tap to fill the boiler.

must be properly level, dry and stable.

Machines come with height-adjustable feet.

To ensure proper use, the machine must be

installed in places where the surrounding

temperature is between +5ºC/+32ºC and where

humidity does not exceed 70%.

$ free space should be left around the machine for

maintenance work and for the coffee grinder.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
