TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
The troubleshooting chart lists problems that might be encountered in the operation of the
Allmand TLB. The remedies listed may direct the repairman to a possible faulty compo-
nent.)
A - ENGINE

For engine troubleshooting charts indicating faults and recommended repair procedures,
refer to Manufacturer’s Operation and Maintenance Manual.
ƒ If your particular problem is not covered or you are unsure of what steps to take, contact
factory for assistance.
B – TRANSMISSION

Thoroughly review description of hydraulic system in this manual.
ƒ Use logical steps to determine cause of malfunction.
ƒ Identify the function or functions which require troubleshooting.
ƒ If possible, trace malfunction to source: pump, control, motor or cylinder.
ƒ Determine if pressure or volume is inadequate for function as specified.
Allmand TLB fails to move under power:
ƒ Parking brake set.
Allmand TLB moves in neutral:
ƒ Control pedal neutral centering device broken or out of adjustment.

Troubleshooting Manual, Eaton Hydraulic Transmissions, available from an Eaton
repreesentative or dealer.
ƒ Inadequate oil level in hydraulic reservoir.
ƒ Control pedal, or linkage, broken or loose.
ƒ Inadequate oil flow through suction strainer.
ƒ Hydrostatic pump failure.
ƒ Drive motor failure.
