TRI TOOL INC.

92-1018 : Rev. 060314

NOTE:

Re-adjust the flange nut so that there is spring tension between the Tool Holder and
Lock Block.

Place the Tool Bit(s) into the Slide Tool Holder.

When using a BEVELING Tool Bit, the cutting edge must be located on
center.

INSTALLATION

Remove the three (3) tool modules from the Model 230B gear face.

With the release cam in the extended position, set up the tool holder to
approximately the correct height for the size pipe to be machined.

Mount the IDTM to the Model 230B headstock using the eight (8) cap screws
provided.

Position the ID Tracking Module Assembly so that the Tracking Wheel rests just
inside the pipe’s bore.

Secure the Lock Block into place by tightening the three (3) set screws.

Place the Tracking Wheel in contact with the pipe by rotating the Release Cam 180°.

Check the spring tension and adjust as necessary.

When using the wheel assemblies check to make sure the Wipers are in contact
with the pipe and adjust as necessary.

Tighten the spring draw rod, but leave enough travel within the spring to
accommodate out of round pipe.

MACHINING SEQUENCE

Attach the proper power supply line to the Model 230B.

Turn the motor on and start cutting.

After the cut is finished, turn the motor off to stop the headstock rotation.

Back off a few turns on the feed handle to clear the tool bit from the end of the pipe.
