MODE button Use the MODE button to select the individual operating modes. There are 5 modes
available:
1. Automatic, automatic selection of cooling or heating mode
2. Cooling, operating mode primarily for summer
3. Dehumidifying, summer or winter operating mode
4. Ventilation, only for air circulation
5. Heating,
operating mode primarily for winter

Automatic mode In automatic mode, the control mechanism automatically switches between heating
and cooling mode. If the room-temperature is above 25°C the indoor unit starts to cool
down the room-air. If the room-temperature is below 20°C the indoor unit starts to heat
up the room-air.

Cooling mode In cooling mode, the room air is cooled to the set target temperature. The desired room
temperature is set in 1°C increments with the TEMP UP/DN button.
If the temperature is 1°C above the set target temperature, the indoor unit begins to
cool the room air. If the adjusted room temperature falls approx. 0.5°C and the
compressor’s minimum term of 6 minutes is transgressed, the control mechanism
switches cooling mode off. To protect the compressor, the control mechanism is only
reactivated after 3 minutes have elapsed.
COOLING MODE

Dehumidifying mode In dehumidifying mode, the room temperature is decreased to 24°C. Due to the low
temperature of the refrigerant, the temperature of the fin exchanger falls below the dew
point of the air. The excessive moisture in the air condenses on the fin exchanger and
the room is dehumidified. The fan speed should be set to automatic to reach maximum
dehumidification capacity. In automatic mode, the fan switches on and off at intervals.

Ventilation mode In ventilation mode, the air in the room is only circulated. The room temperature cannot
be changed in this mode. Cooling or heating mode is not activated.
