Connect, Talk and Control
The N-pulse headphone cable features a built-in Monster
ControlTalk Universal™ remote for use with your music phone
and newer iPod®/iPad®. A single control button and built-in mic
allow you to easily switch between listening to music and talking
on your phone hands-free.
Lighting Control™
N-pulse headphones feature an LED Light Drive for energy-
efficient illumination and striking style. The On/Off switch is on
top of the battery box, which is located on the headphones cable.
Two AAA batteries are required to power the Light Drive System.
Using ControlTalk Universal™
Answering a call: When alerted of an incoming call, press and
release ControlTalk Universal’s control button.
Ending a call: On most phones, press and release the control button.
Some phones require you to press and hold the control button.
Using call waiting: Many, but not all phones function as
follows:When alerted of an incoming call while already on a call,
press and release the control button to answer and put the first call
on hold. Press and release the control button to swap back to the
first call. Press and hold the control button to end your current call
and swap back to the call on hold.
Cleaning Earcup Cushions
Though they feature an anti-bacterial treatment, for sanitary
reasons and to prolong the life of your earcup cushions, you
should clean them regularly, especially after professional use
where you may have perspired heavily.
Using a slightly dampened (but never wet to the point that any
accidental dripping may occur) cloth, paper towel or disinfectant
wipe, gently clean off the vinyl part of the earcup cushions. To
complete cleaning, you may wish to use a dry cloth to pat away
any moisture left over.
Never get the speaker or electronics inside of your headphones
wet. Water or cleaning solvents can do irreparable damage. The
N-pulse warranty does not cover such damage.
Listen
Turn down the volume on your music player before putting
on N-pulse headphones.
Note the “L” and “R” markings above the inside of each earcup.
“L” is for the left ear. “R” is for the right ear.
Flip
N-pulse features spinning hinges above both earcups that
give you the ability to simply flip up the earcups to listen to
house noise through one ear without having to remove your
headphones. To use the flip-up earcups, simply grasp the
outside of the earcup and rotate to a comfortable position.
Important Monster® Performance
and Safety Tips
To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume
on your music player is turned down before connecting
your N-pulse™ headphones. After placing the N-pulse
headphones on your ears, gradually turn up the volume
until you reach a comfortable listening level.
Be aware of your surroundings and use N-pulse
headphones responsibly. Do not use N-pulse headphones
when it is unsafe to do so – while operating a vehicle,
crossing streets at crosswalks, or during any activity or
environment where your full attention to your surroundings
is required.
Avoid listening at high volume levels for prolonged periods.
This may cause permanent hearing damage or loss. Refer
to the decibel (dB) table below to compare some common
sounds and see how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
“…a typical person can safely listen to an iPod for 4.6 hours
per day at 70% volume.”
“…knowing the levels one is listening to music at, and for
how long
is extremely important.”
