Before first use
Connect the power cord and charge the battery fully (battery already
connected)
Important: Set LINK SET on the back to the MASTER position

Turn on the unit at the main switch (Power)

Playing CDs
To turn on the CD player, press the Power/Volume knob for

Volume knob to the right, and set the Roadman to the desired overall
volume using the master volume control (red knob

Turn on the receiver at the Power/Volume knob

right (past the detent position). Insert the batteries in the handheld
microphone and turn it on. To synchronise the radio frequency,
position the uncovered infrared interface (IR above the battery

8 ) so that there is a direct line of sight between it and
the infrared interface of the receiver 6 . Press the ASC 7 on the
receiver. If the transmission was successful, the red RF-LED on the
receiver will light up. Increase the volume by turning the Power/
Volume knob
5 to the right, and set the Roadman to the desired
overall volume using the master volume control (red knob 4 ).

Recharge the battery fully at every opportunity. Never completely
discharge a rechargeable lead battery or store it in discharged or
semi-charged condition. During extended periods of disuse and
storage, the battery must be recharged fully at regular intervals.
