Semirecessed Lavatory Installation Steps
Prepare countertop:
1. Using the template or preferably the actual lavatory,
trace the countertop cut out where the lavatory
will be installed. The dotted line in Fig. 1 indicates the
lavatory; the solid line indicates the cut out size.
If no templete is provided, then place the lavatory
upside down on the countertop and trace around
the edges (dotted line). Then draw a second line 3/4”
inside the dotted line, and cut along the inside outline.
2. Perform the cut out with tools proper for the counter-
top being installed.
Install faucet and drain:
1. If a faucet is being installed, follow the manufacturers
installation instructions and install the faucet on the
lavatory deck at this time.
2. Drain can also be installed in this step.
