INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Model 091-167-12 Load Manager 1HP
The 091-167-12, Load Manager 1HP is a small waterproof assembly that monitors a D.C. volt-
age and operates a relay when the voltage drops below its set point.
With the engine running and battery voltage above 12.8 volts, the relay is energized and power is
supplied to the loads.
With the engine stopped and continuous loads that reduce the battery below +11.5 volts, the
relay will drop out and prevent complete discharge of the battery. The relay remains de-ener-
gized until the battery voltage returns to +12.8 volts or higher.
An optional starter input prevents the relay from dropping out during the cranking cycle if the
voltage prior to cranking was sufficient (+11.5 volts).
Note: the starter input is not required for normal operation if cranking shutdown protection is not
required.
