Center car seat on the vehicle seat between
seat belt anchorages so that the back of the
car seat contacts the vehicle seat back
(Fig. 45).
Adjust the vehicle seat back into the upright
position or the recline adjustment specified
in
the vehicle owner’s manual.
The back of the car seat must be in contact
with the vehicle seat as described in
“Vehicle seat back and Headrest adjust-
ment” (section
4.4).
Place shoulder belt through shoulder belt guide:
Raise the headrest up so the shoulder belt
guide is accessible (Fig. 46).
Open the shoulder belt guide (Fig. 47) on
the side of the headrest away from the
vehicle seat belt buckle by pressing the clip
backwards (Fig. 47; Step 1) and then down
to open shoulder belt guide (Fig. 47;
Step 2).
