The output of the buffer amplifier is applied to one programmable gain amplifier, while a sample of the -18
V chamber voltage is applied to the other. The gain of each amplifier is determined by the operating
program. Output from each amplifier drives an input of the analog multiplexer. Signals from the pressure
amplifier and the temperature sensor are also applied to inputs on the multiplexer. Under program
control, any one of these inputs can be applied to the CPU board.
