Only qualified welders certified e. g. according to DIN EN 287 may weld the steam trap
into pressurized lines.
A subsequent heat treatment of the welds is not required.
Heat treatment of welds
. Observe correct position of installation.
2. Observe direction of flow. The flow arrow is on the trap body.
. Consider space required for opening trap. When the trap is installed a minimum space of
30 mm is
required for removing the regulating membrane 4 / /.
4. Remove plastic plugs. They are only used as transit protection.
5. Clean butt-weld ends.
6. Apply arc welding processes and 4 in accordance with ISO 406 or gas welding process
to ISO 406.

Installation
The trap can be installed in any position. Observe arrow indicating direction of flow. When mounted in
a vertical line with downward flow the trap is self-draining.
