MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY INFORMATION
1. The sideburner and surrounding area MUST remain
clear of fl ammable substances such as gasoline,
yard debris, wood, etc.
2. There is no blockage of air fl ow around the burner.
3. When using propane gas:
a. The required ventilation openings in the
enclosure must be clear of debris.
b. The propane cylinder, regulator, and rubber
hose must be in a location not subject to
temperature above 125° F (51° C).
4. The fl ames on the burner burn evenly along the
burner cap with a steady fl ame (mostly blue). If
burner fl ames are not normal, check and clean the
orifi ce and burner for insects and insect nests. A
clogged burner can lead to a fi re. A proper fl ame
pattern will ensure safe operation and optimal
performance.
5. The in-line gas valve or gas cylinder valve must
always be shut OFF when the unit is not in use.
6. Do not operate the burner with the cover in place.
7. The sideburner surfaces may be cleaned with any
common, acid-free, household cleaner.
Occasionally remove the burner cap and, if
necessary, use a soft, stiff brush (an old toothbrush)
to clean the ports in the burner and the underside
of the burner cap.
Never use acid chemicals or abrasive pads to
clean porcelain or aluminum surfaces.
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW A COOKING POT OR PAN TO GET TOO CLOSE TO, OR COVER, THE IGNITOR OR
FLAME ADJUSTMENT KNOBS. Overheating will occur, and burners will not perform properly when combustion
heat is trapped below the cooking surface.
The unit serial identifi cation number is located on the exterior liner wall of the unit. The
unit must be completely cool before lifting it up from the enclosure to gain access.
