II. DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE (pic. 1)
A – grill
A1 – temperature control dial
A5 – placement area
A2 – indicator light
A6 – handles
A3 – heating element
A7 – power cord
A4 – support rack
A8 – drip tray
B – interchangeable grill hotplates
b1 – cast iron (grate)
b2 – stone
III. PREPARATION AND USE
Remove all packaging materials and take out the grill with its accessories. Remove all
adhesive foils, stickers or paper from the grill. When first putting into operation insert the
drip tray
A8, filled with water, on to area A5 and place the interchangeable hotplate B2
(without any food) on to the support rack. Set the control dial
A1 to MAX and with the
window open allow the grill to function for approximately 15 minutes, then turn it off and
allow it to cool down. Short mild emission of smoke is not a defect and is no reason for
complaint. After it has cooled down clean the parts that will come in contact with food using
hot water with detergent, thoroughly rinse with clean water and wipe dry, if necessary allow
to dry (see paragraph
V. MAINTENANCE).
Assembly of the grill (pic. 2, 3, 4)
Place the interchangeable hotplate
B1 or B2 on to the grill so that the dents in the hotplate/
stone slide on to the support rack
A4 (i.e. for stone with the shinny side upwards). Place the
drip tray
A8 on to the placement area A5 and fill it with clean drinking water – water prevents
bits of food from burning on, makes cleaning easier and protects the appliance against over
heating.
Following the reverse order you may again remove all the parts.
IV. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the grill on a dry and even surface (e.g. kitchen table) at a height of at least 85 cm, out of
the reach of children. Insert the power plug
A7 into the power socket and check that it does not
lead under the grill. Depending on the foods being prepared select the appropriate hotplate
B1
or
B2.
