10. Hydra On-Screen User Menu

The Hydra User Menu is an on-screen setup menu to set up your Hydra features. You need to connect
the TV properly before using the User Menu.

Each decoder has its own User Menu. The User Menu provides the following setup features:

To enter the User Menu:

Use the corresponding remote control of the decoder.

Press “INPUT” and then “MENU” in sequence within 1 second.

NOTE: The features available in User Menu may vary in different middleware. Some of the features can
also be set up through the user menu of the middleware.

NOTE: Reboot of Hydra is required for the new channel ID change to take effect.

11. Captioning

Decoder 1 captioning is controlled by Hydra. Decoder 2 and 3 captioning is controlled by your TV. (Refer
to your TV User’s Guide for details on how to control your TV captioning.)

To turn captioning on or off on decoder 1 either:

Press “LANG” button on the remote.

Use the User Menu.

NOTE: Control of captioning may vary for different service providers. For detailed usage of captioning,
please refer to the service provider.
