2.

5.
area.
Do not allow the vacuum hose to contact the muffler
exhaust pipe. The heat from the exhaust pipe might
burn the vacuum hose.
CAUTION
OpERATION TIpS
The vacuum is designed to be used with
•
fairly dry material. If the material is wet or moist, it will cake onto the blower
unit and/or discharge screen similar to wet grass on the bottom of a lawn mower.
Use a slower feed rate
•
when vacuuming wet material. Regularly feed branches into the chipper while vacuuming wet
material to help reduce plugging. Hold the end of the vacuum off the ground to maintain air movement.
If suction decreases or material discharges unevenly,
•
cycle dry wood or branches through the chipper chute to help
prevent build up in the blower housing. If the blower housing becomes plugged, the vacuum will lose suction.
To unplug:
•
Shut the unit down completely. Open the cleanout door and remove debris. Replace door and resume
operation. If the clog is severe, shut off the engine and allow the machine to come to a complete stop. Remove the
blower unit to clear our the housing. Remove the discharge screen and clean the chipper/shredder housing.
The rotor will continue to turn for some time after the engine or tractor has been shut off.
•
You can shorten the stopping
time by inserting a branch in the chipper chute; the friction will slow the rotor.
