Tywatt 30, Consumption indicator, Installation 2. connection

background image

TYWATT 30 measures the number of kilowatt-hours consumed by part of a
single-phase 230 V powered electric system (heating, DHW, heat pump, etc.).
TYWATT 30 can be used with electromechanical meters.
TYWATT 30 performs 2 types of totals:
C1 (cumulated total since first start-up, non erasable)
C2 (cumulated total since last reset, erasable)
The current is measured by an external measuring device (current transformer, CT).

The diagrams provided are simplified for greater clarity.
The protective devices and other accessories required by
the standards are not illustrated.

- Standard UTE NF C15-100 and good practice must
be complied with.
- Connected or nearby equipment must not generate
excessive interference (directive 2004/108/EEC).

2. Connection

Mounted on a DIN rail, with the modular unit and CT on the electrical switchboard.

Installing the CTs (current transformers)

• The wire length (type H03VV-F or H05V-K) can be extended by up to 1.5 m.

• It is possible to pass several conductors from the same phase through a single CT (maximum

interior Ø 10 mm).

3. Starting up

When switching on, and after approximately 10 seconds, check:

- that the red LED flashes
- that the consumption total begins (in Wh up to 1 kWh (fig.1), then in kWh

(fig.2)), with no indication of the price period.

After 10 seconds:
- The red LED is on steady.
- The current price period indicator is displayed (fig. 3).

Note: Switch on the heating. TYWATT 30’s operation can be confirmed

immediately when the counting begins (fig.1 or fig.2).
