Facing Requirements

 The included fiber board is required and must remain attached to the fireplace (see “a” below).
 Non-combustible facing must extend 7-3/4” (197mm) above the face of the fireplace (see “c” below).

Drywall or other combustible may not be place on top of this non-combustible area.

 Drywall (or other combustible) may be placed above the non-combustible facing (see “b” below) and

to the sides and below the fireplace face. This combustible facing must be a minimum 7-3/4”
(197mm) above the face of the fireplace (see “b” below).

 Tile or other non-combustible facing may be placed along the perimeter of the fireplace face, but must

not extend over the glass/grill opening (see “d”). This area must remain open to allow for glass frame
removal and air flow.
