Crushed Glass Installation
Make sure the pilot cover is in place before installing the crushed glass.
NOTE: If converting to LP (propane), convert the appliance prior to placing the crushed glass.
NOTE: Install the firebacks before installing the crushed glass.
Glass Quantity
Use 9 pounds of crushed glass (4.1 Kg).
Glass Measurement
Use a liquid measuring cup to measure the glass.
1 Level Cup (8 fl. oz.) (240ml) = 0.95 lbs.
So...1 Slightly Rounded Cup = 1 lb.
Use 9 Rounded Cups of Glass.
Crushed Glass Part Numbers
Use ¼” American Fireglass crushed glass. You can purchase the glass from Travis Industries in10 lb.
