Portable Air Compressor

Voltage sources, moving parts, or compressed air
sources are exposed when repairing the compressor.
Personal injury can occur. Unplug the compressor before attempting any
repairs.
Troubleshooting Chart
1. Pressure switch does
not shut off motor when
compressor reaches
"cut-out" pressure.
2. Pressure switch "cut-
out" too high.
1. Move On/Auto/Off lever
to the "OFF" position. If
the outfit does not shut
off contact a trained
service technician.

technician.
Excessive tank
pressure - safety
valve pops off.
1. Tube fittings are not
tight enough.
1. Tighten fittings where air
can be heard escaping.
Check fittings with soapy
water solution.
Do Not
Overtighten.
Air leaks at
fittings.
Air leaks in air
tank or at air
tank welds.
1. Defective air tank.
1. Air tank must be
replaced. Do not repair
the leak.

drill into,
weld or otherwise modify
air tank or it will weaken.
The tank can rupture or
