General Safety instructions
Please read carefully all the following
information, which contains important
instructions for the safety, the use and
the maintenance of the appliance.
- Do not place a defective appliance
into operation.
- To assure safe operation of the
appliance, assemble it only according
to the information given in the
operating instructions and connect it
and operate it as directed on the
nameplate.
- In case of a defect, separate the
appliance from the mains (pull out the
mains plug).
- Do not pull on the connection cord,
but rather on the plug to separate the
appliance from the mains.
- Do not pull the connection cord over
sharp edges or use it for carrying.
- Do not pull the connection cord over
heated hotplates or open flames.
- Have repairs and manipulations on
the appliance performed by a trained
fitter or by our customer service.
- Children must not use electrical
appliance except under supervision.
- Clean appliance only with a dry or a
moist cloth, making sure that you pull
out the mains plug first without fail.
Never immerse the appliance into
water.
- Worn-out appliances must be made
unusable immediately by pulling out
the mains plug and cutting through
the connection cord, then dispose of
the appliance properly.
- You may obtain information on
possibilities for also disposing of worn-
out appliances from your community
or city administration.
Safety instructions for using the
appliance
- Grind only coffee in this appliance.
- After you have used the appliance
three times without interruption, a
pause of around 60 minutes is
necessary.
- When not in use and during cleaning,
pull out the plug.
- The appliance requires no
maintenance. ln the event of damage
only the whole coffee grinder can be
exchanged. Exchange of the lead
alone is not permissible.
To grind the coffee
Fill with the required amount of coffee
(max.36g). Put on lid with switch.
Press switch down.
The fineness of the ground coffee
depends on the quantity of beans and
the grinding time.
To obtain ground coffee, the following
quantities and times apply: 12 g:
max.20 sec. 24 g: max.25 sec. 36 g:
max.30 sec.
Shorter grinding times result in
somewhat coarser coffee grains. Also
observe the fineness specifications in
the instructions for use of your coffee
machine.
Release the switching and wait until
the fly cutter comes to a halt before
removing the lid.
Cleaning
Remove mains plug. Clean the
container and lid with a brush or dry
cloth.
