How to Terminate a Compression Connector
In this lesson, we will teach you how to install a Compression F
Connector. Other Compression Connectors are BNC, RCA, Speaker
Wire and other configurations that vary slightly, but for the most
part are very much the same in termination technique.
Ensure dielectric is
securely seated into the
compression connector
The dielectric should not
pass through the hole at
the end of the Compres-
sion Connector
First: Make sure the center
conductor is inserted through
the center hole of the tool die
Second: Snap the
coaxial cable end
in place
The center conductor
should extend slightly
past the end of the
Compression Connector
Terminate the Compression Connector to the
Coaxial Cable by firmly squeezing the handles
completely until it releases. When the tool
releases, you will know that the Connector has
been properly terminated to the Coaxial
Cable. Now remove the cable from the tool
