5. Move the detector back slowly until the registered

value shows the highest number again.

Then release the on button »

ቱ«.

6. Mark the location with a pencil.

NOTES:

1. The device is not suitable for use on walls or ceilings that are insu-

lated with elements containing metallic fibres or on slab walls and

surfaces with thick plastering.

2. The device cannot detect water pipes made of plastics.

3. Electrical wires in insulator pipes made of PVC or metal will be

displayed as »Metal« .

4. The depth to which the device can detect metal depends on the

type of the material and the size of the object. Larger objects can

be detected at greater depths.

Detecting Alternating Current

1. Turn the selector switch to »

ተ« in the middle

position, to select the »alternating current« func-

tion.

2. Hold the detector way from the test object and

other sources of electricity. Press and hold the on

button »

ቱ« (either on the side or on the front) and

wait until the LCD-display reads »00«, which signals

that the calibration is complete and the device is

ready to use.

3. the device over the test object, such as electrical

outlets, plugs, wires, etc. Increasing numbers in

the display i.e. 01, 02, 03… and a more rapid signal

tone indicate alternating current. Watch the

location of the sensor range »
