MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE PAINT SySTEM

See Figures 12 - 15, page 13.
 Set the forward/reverse switch in the reverse position then

turn

ON the machine. This draws the paint back through

the tubes and into the paint can.

 Squeeze triggers. After one minute, turn the machine off.
 Lift the paint system top and remove the paint can.

Replace the original lid on the paint can.

 Fill the paint container / cleaning bucket with clean-

ing solution [i.e, warm water (following the use of latex
products) or Klean-Strip

®

White Formula Paint Thinner

(following the use of oil-based products)].

 Place the paint container lid on the bucket and close the

paint system top.

 Place the forward / reverse switch in the forward position

then turn the machine

ON.

NOTE: Hold any handles, tubes, rollers, pads, or sprayer
over a five gallon bucket. To clean these accessories, pull
the triggers aiming into the bucket.

 When as much paint as possible has been flushed through

the system and all attachments, turn

OFF the machine

and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

 Disconnect all attachments from the paint tubes.
 Connect the cleaning accessory to the paint tube.
 Turn the machine

ON.

 Hold the cleaning accessory firmly, flush the paint tubes

thoroughly.

 Again, clean and rinse the paint container / cleaning

bucket.

 Fill the bucket with cleaning solution.

NOTE: Use this bucket to clean each part of the machine
as it is removed.

 Disconnect all paint tube(s) and hoses from the machine.

Next, disconnect all attachments (paint roller, finish
sprayer, and/or pads) from any tubes or hoses.

 Clean all tubes, hoses, and/or connections using a clean-

ing brush (not included) and cleaning solution.

To clean the paint roller:
 Lift and remove the paint roller from the paint roller

assembly.

 Pull the roller caps off the paint roller and clean using

cleaning solution.

 Silde the clamps towards each end of the manifold and

take apart the paint roller assembly as shown.

 Clean all parts in cleaning solution.
To clean the cut-in and corner pads:
 Clean pads and all connections using a cleaning brush

(not included) and cleaning solution.

To clean the finish sprayer:
 Unscrew the cap from the sprayer nozzle and remove the

nozzle. Clean using cleaning solution.

 Using a 13 mm wrench (not included), remove the nozzle.

Clean using cleaning solution.

 Wash all areas of the sprayer using cleaning solution and

a cleaning brush (not included).

NOTE: Allow all pieces to completely dry before reinstalling
parts and storing the paint system.

FILTER REPLACEMENT

See Figure 16, page 13.
 Remove the filter cover by turning the cover clockwise.
 Once the filter cover has been removed, remove the

filter.

 Wash the filter in cleaning solution.
 When the filter is dry, reinstall the filter and filter cover by

turning the cover counterclockwise..
