TracRac Cargo Divider
Installing the Tracrac Cargo Divider is straightforward, and
should take you under 15 minutes.
1. Unpack the Cargo Divider crossbar.
Orient the crossbar so that the wide flat indentation is
on the top face of the bar.
2. Insert the heads of 4 “T” bolts into the top slot of the
crossbar, slide 2 to the driver’s side and 2 to the
passenger’s side.
3. Mount the large (Driver’s side) sliding bracket to the
crossbar and hand-tighten the nuts. The long end of the
slide should be oriented toward the tailgate.
4. Mount the small (Passenger’s side) sliding bracket to
the crossbar and hand-tighten the nuts. Lower tailgate
and slide each bracket onto the TracRac “T” Tracks.
5. Slide the assembly to the front of the truck, square up
the crossbar and tighten up the large (Driver’s side)
bracket lock nuts, while holding the crossbar parallel to
the front of the truck box.
6. Adjust the small (Passenger’s side) bracket so that
there is equal play on the TracRac “T” tracks of either
side. Tighten the small (Passenger’s side) lock nuts.
7. Insert the heads of 3 “T” bolts into the bottom slot of
the crossbar to the approximate position of the holes in
the Cargo Screen, when screen is centered on truck.
8. Mount the Cargo Screen to the bottom of the crossbar
with the 3 “T” bolts from step 7, with the finished face
of the angle frame facing the tailgate. Center the Cargo
Screen on the crossbar. Tighten the lock nuts.
9. The Cargo Divider should slide freely the length of the
truck bed. If not, recheck that the TracRac side rails are
parallel and/or readjust the right side bracket “T” track
play.
CAUTION: Always make sure the knobs are tightened down
to prevent the Cargo Divider from sliding. Be sure to tighten
down the set screws fore and aft on each base rail as well.
