Close and tape the shipping carton,
making sure that the arrows on the carton
point upward to require that it be kept in an
upright position.

Attach readable shipping address and, if
shipping to the factory, be sure to show
the RMA No. (Returned Material
Authorization Number) provided by Parr.
9.
If a 1281 Calorimeter carton and trap is
not available, prepare the calorimeter for
shipment as described above and ship it in
a sturdy box which will provide 3 or 4
inches clearance at the bottom and top,
and 6 inches clearance around the sides
of the unit. Place the calorimeter in a
large plastic bag. Close the bag and set
the calorimeter on a 3 or 4 inch layer of
plastic peanuts or other dense, shock
absorbing material in the bottom of the
box. Then fill all remaining space with the
packing material. Close the box and mark
it as stated above. Apply arrows to
identify the top of the shipment and strap
the box firmly to a wooden pallet.
