Thank you for purchasing the Exo Terra ® SunRay Bulb. The
Exo Terra ® SunRay bulb requires the correct ballast to operate
(e.g. Exo Terra ® SunRay Metal Halide Fixture). Please read this
operation manual carefully before use and operate according to
the instructions provided for maximum safety and performance. We
recommend that you keep this manual handy for future reference.
INTRODUCTION
The Exo Terra
® SunRay is an all-in-one bulb that combines very high
light output and heat radiation with optimal levels of UVA and UVB.
The Exo Terra ® SunRay delivers a consistent spectrum, which closely
approximates that of natural sunlight, contributing to the animal’s
overall wellbeing. The combination of the correct wavelength UVB
and heat enables the animal to produce it’s own vitamin D

for
proper calcium absorption and to prevent metabolic diseases (e.g.
MBD). The powerful light output and the balanced UV rays stimulate
the appetite, breeding behavior and the overall health of reptiles.
The aluminum facetted reflector produces an evenly distributed
light beam. Aluminum dissipates heat very effectively, resulting in
a longer lifespan and a more stable operation than glass reflectors.
The Exo Terra ® SunRay can be used as a sole light source. To obtain
optimal results and safety the bulb should be used in conjunction
with the Exo Terra ® SunRay Fixture.

This bulb is NOT waterproof and contact with water
MUST be prevented.
3. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use,
before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never
yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull
to disconnect.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
