3 Press or to highlight Parental Controls, then press
ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.
4 Press the number buttons to input your four-digit password, then
press ENTER. The Parental Controls submenu opens.
Note: The default password is 0000, and the superpassword is 9999.
5 To change the password, press or to highlight Change
Password, then press ENTER. The Change Password submenu
opens.
6 Press the number buttons to input the old password, then input a
new password.
7 Enter the new password again to confirm it. The Parental Controls
submenu opens.
8 Press MENU to close the on-screen menu.
Setting parental control levels
You can set parental controls for the U.S. and Canada. The following
procedure shows how to set controls for U.S. TV ratings. You use similar
steps for controlling U.S. movie and Canadian TV ratings.
Parental control settings are only applicable to programs that have a
rating signal. If you prefer to block programs that have no rating signal,
go to the next section on “Blocking unrated TV”.
To set parental controls:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the Picture menu
displayed.
2 Press or to highlight Settings, then press . The Settings
menu opens.
3 Press or to highlight Parental Controls, then press
ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.
4 Press the number buttons to input your four-digit password, then
press ENTER. The Parental Controls submenu opens.
Note: The default password is 0000, and the superpassword is 9999.
