Removing the batteries:
After removing the filter, take the retaining rubber
band off and remove the two contact caps from the
contact tags on the battery.

Please handle the battery carefully - there may be a
small residual charge in It which could cause damage
if its contacts are bridged together. It is therefore
advisable to transport the battery in a plastic bag.
Mit Batterle vorsichtig umgehen. Ggf. enthält diese
eine Restladung, die beim Überbrücken der Kon­
takte Schäden hervorruft. Daher sollte die Batterie
in einem Kunststoffbeutel transportiert werden.
There are two possible ways of disposing it:
• Take it to the toxic waste disposal facility provided
by your local authority.
• Hand it in at one of the AEG-Electrolux Service Centers.
For the sake of the environment do not throw away
packaging material.
• The cardboard box can be taken to paper recycling
facilities.
• Plastic bag made of polyethylene (PE) can be taken
to recycling facilities of PE collection depots.
• The filter parts are made of Polystyrene (PS). They
do not contain any CFCs. They can be taken to
recycling facilities of PS collection depots.
Your local Department for the Environment will be
able to give you advice as to where collecting
depots and recycling facilities are available.
The symbol /vK on the product or on its packaging
indicates that this product may not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to
the applicable collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health, which could otherwise be caused
by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For
more detailed information about recycling of this
product, please contact your local city office, your
household waste disposal service or the shop where
you purchased the product.

Stellen für PE-Recycling entsorgt werden.
• Die Filterteile bestehen aus Polystyrol (PS). Sie ent­
halten keine FCKWs. Sie können bei Stellen für PS-
Recycling entsorgt werden.
Die lokale Umweltschutzbehörde bietet Informa­
tionen zu Sammel- und Recyclingstellen.
Das Symbol an Produkt oder Verpackung weist
darauf hin, dass das Produkt nicht mit dem norma­
len Hausmüll entsorgt werden darf. Es muss statt-
dessen bei der entsprechenden Sammelstelle für
Recycling von Elektro- und Elektronikschrott abge­
geben werden. Durch die ordnungsgemäße Entsor­
gung des Produkts können negative Folgen für
Umwelt und Gesundheit vermieden werden. De­
taillierte Informationen zum Recyceln des Produkts
bieten die Gemeinde, die Müllentsorgung oder der
Händler, bei dem das Produkt gekauft wurde.
