■ARCHITECT'S AND ENGINEER'S SPECIFICATIONS-
The speaker system shall be the two-way musical instrument type with a sturdy
plywood bass reflex enclosure, an 800 Hz dividing network, a 15-inch musical
instrument type LF loudspeaker, an HF driver and a cast aluminum 25-inch sectoral
horn having exponential expansion. A 50-foot, 2-conductor cable with standard
phone plug at each end shall be included with the system. The speaker system shall
be portable and shall meet the following performance criteria. Power rating, 50
watts. Input impedance, 8 ohms. Frequency response, 35 Hz to 20 kHz, Pressure
sensitivity; 102 dB SPL at 4 feet from 1 watt, 119 dB SPL at 4 feet from 50 watts
(equal to El A rating of 55 dB SPL at 30 feet from 1 milliwatt). Crossover frequency,
800 Hz. Crossover slope, 12 dB/octave. Dimensions, 30%" H x 28" W x 19%" D.
The speaker system shall have a resilient epoxy spatter finish, a tubular steel swivel
mount, recessed die-cast handles and removable latching front cover, and shall weigh
110 pounds.
The speaker system shall be the ALTEC Model 1218A Musical Instrument Speaker
System.
