TROUBLESHOOTING POINTS

PROBLEM

Will not start

1 Out of fuel.

Engine not “CHOKED” properly.

Engine flooded.

Dirty air cleaner.

Fill fuel tank.

Wait several minutes before attempting to start.

Clean or replace air cleaner cartridge,

Drain fuel tank and carburetor, and refill tank with

fresh gasoline.

Remove fuel tank and clean.

Make sure spark plug wire is seated properly on plug.

Replace spark plug or adjust gap,

Hard to start

Throttle control not set properly.

Dirty air cleaner.

fresh gasoline.

Remove fuel tank and clean.

Connect and tighten spark plug wire.

Clean engine air screen.

Clean/replace muffler.

Make necessary adjustments,

Engine overheats
