Cleaning Your Coffeemaker Before Using
the First Time
Make sure your first cup of coffee is as good as can be by cleaning your
MR. COFFEE® Grind & Brew Coffeemaker before its first use. Just follow
these simple steps:
1. Remove the Grinding Chamber Assembly. To remove the assembly,
grab both sides of the grinding chamber just below the lid and lift up
and away from the coffeemaker.

Wash the decanter lid and the grinding chamber assembly in a mixture
of mild detergent and water. Rinse each thoroughly (please refer to
the parts diagram on page
6
). The decanter lid and the grinding
chamber are both top rack dishwasher safe.
3.
Replace all the parts and close the lid. Then follow Steps 3 through
5 in “Brewing Coffee Now: Using Pre-Ground Coffee" on page 11 to
clean the inside of your coffeemaker.
4.
When brewing is complete, turn your coffeemaker off. Discard the
water in the decanter and rinse the decanter, decanter lid. filter basket
and grinder chamber assembly.
Your coffeemaker Is now ready to use.
